True style icons exist everywhere, even in Milwaukee. Bernice was a true style icon who impressed all she met with her grace, sophistication, and enjoyment of fashion. She charmed the locals with her pink St. John's sweaters and flamboyant high heels. Appropriately dressed for every occasion, Bernice never missed an opportunity to express herself through fashion. As her granddaughter, I would like to celebrate Bernice's style here by promoting and recognizing great Milwaukee fashion, appreciating the fashion disasters unique to this Midwest town, and finding ways to express our selves and gain confidence.
